Not a very interesting climb, but nice and steep. Although I didn't encounter any stretches of 21-26%. Climb goes mainly through a woody area, without any views. On top of the mountain, it is very busy, with a large car park. Not necessarily worthwhile, but a good workout if you're in the area.... read more

Short but quite hard climb. The very first km is challenging because it's very steep and there are no hairpins where you can breath.
I climbed the Alpe Paglio in winter: it has been funny to meet cars with skis on roof (there's a small ski area on top) while I haven't meet any other crazy cyclist :)

There's no view while climbing but it's still a nice challenge.
I started my ride from "Lecco" and I headed to "Bellano" when I started to climb till a small town named "Narro" then down to town "Casargo" again up to Chiesetta di Santa Margherita where the official Paglio climb (and pain) starts.
From top I went down to "Taceno" and from there to "Bellano" and back to "Lecco".
It's a nice ride if you are in the area. It's about 95 km and 1650 km d+.

Hope it helps!
