Very nice climb! I would recommend going between 09:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. as the road is closed for regular traffic. You will still encounter cars from hotel guests from the Seiser Alm and farmers but traffic is light at that time of the day. Temperature-wise it can get quite hot at the exposed parts during Summer
Nice climb. Doable. Beautiful views. Traffic is limited as only people staying on top are allowed to go up by car. Once.at the top you can continue driving a wholemsruk until the end of the Alm.
Mooie klim. Goed te doen. Prachtige vergezichten. Verkeer is beperkt want alleen mensen die bovenop verblijven mogen met de auto naar boven. Eenmaal.boven kun je nog een heelmsruk verder rijden tot het einde van de Alm.
A beautiful climb that starts from the road connecting Siusi and Castelrotto and climbs up to the Alpe with a very even gradient. There are no excessively demanding sections, but the ascent does require a little physical preparation. I rode it on a weekday and only found a little traffic before the roundabout at the third kilometre, beyond which cars can only pass until nine in the morning.
The arrival at the Alpe is exceptional, with pastures and peaks as far as the eye can see and a beautiful mountain air even on hot days.
The wide road, the excellent asphalt and the absence of sharp bends, except for half a dozen hairpin bends that are nonetheless wide, make the descent a lot of fun. Good speeds are reached without risk.
A really good experience for what is, in my opinion, the most beautiful climb in this area.
Bellissima salita che parte dalla strada che collega Siusi e Castelrotto e sale fino all'Alpe con pendenza molto regolare. Non ci sono tratti troppo impegnativi, ma comunque l' ascesa richiede un po' di preparazione fisica. L' ho percorsa durante un giorno feriale e ho trovato un po' di traffico solo prima della rotonda al terzo chilometro, oltre la quale le auto possono passare solo fino alle nove del mattino.
L'arrivo all'Alpe é eccezionale, con pascoli e cime a perdita d'occhio e una bella aria montana anche nei giorni caldi.
La strada larga, l'ottimo asfalto e l'assenza di curve strette, tranne una mezza dozzina di tornanti comunque ad ampio raggio, rendono la discesa divertentissima. Si raggiungono buone velocità senza rischio.
Davvero una bella esperienza per quella che a mio parere é la salita più bella di questa zona.
Nice climb, which only really starts at the turn-off. This is followed by reasonably steady climbing kilometres, tough but never really leaden. Cycling on to Hotel Panorama is really a must if you want to be treated to stunning views.
Mooie klim, die pas echt begint bij de afslag. Daarna volgen er redelijke stabiele klimkilometers, stevig, maar nooit echt loodzwaar. Doorfietsen tot hotel Panorama is echt een must als je getrakteerd wilt worden op een prachtig uitzicht.
Beautiful climb, spicy, but nowhere really tough. At the top a nice reward on the Seiser Alm with beautiful views and all kinds of paths. At the 'summit' in Compatsch, you can still turn right to complete the 2000 metres to Hotel Panorama. Just under 150 extra altitude metres.
Took the same road back. Fast descent with reasonable tarmac. Car traffic not too bad.
Prachtige klim, pittig, maar nergens echt zwaar. Bovenop een mooie beloning op de Seiser Alm met prachtige vergezichten en allerlei paadjes. Op de 'top' in Compatsch kun je nog naar rechts om de 2000 meter vol te maken naar Hotel Panorama. Een kleine 150 extra hoogtemeters.
Dezelfde weg terug genomen. Snelle afdaling met redelijk asfalt. Autoverkeer valt mee.

Leuke klim, onder de kabelbaan door. Goed asfalt, niet al te druk alleen bestemmingsverkeer. De klim verloopt redelijk constant met een aantal mooiebochten. Bovenop de Alm mooi uitzicht op de vallei en het massief. Zelfde weg terug voor de afdaling, of via een super steil paadje aan de andere zijde.
