Alpe del Vicerè from Albavilla via Via Ai Monti

Found it very difficult because it was done post Colma. The Garmin marks the last 5 km at 9％. You are in the woods and given the day you couldn't see any views. More than acceptable asphalt, very popular with cyclists

Short but demanding climbs even if you are only moderately trained. It starts off immediately nasty and if you are not familiar with it this can take its toll psychologically. There is no shortage of places to rest... other sections are 'only' at 8％ but you will feel like you can rest after the section at 12％. Panorama almost completely covered by trees. No fountains. Refreshments at the top (but not always open). Bottom with damp leaves in autumn. On the way down, watch out for a few potholes, which may suddenly appear in the light/dark given by the trees.
It can also be taken by first passing through the 'wall of Albavilla', something I have done once and do not intend to repeat!
Avoid weekends.

Careful on the descent, often dirty road

Not too long an ascent but with gradients that never drop from the average. In autumn you have to slalom to dodge the chestnut hedgehogs.

short climb, but if you don't know it or study it beforehand, it can be punishing because it has steep gradients and a lot of straight stretches that make you suffer mentally... excellent for training. not beautiful as a panorama, but the asphalt is good. to be avoided on Sundays... assailed by cars

Tastes like a home climb. Good for training for the effort, short but not giving any respite.
All in the woods, not very scenic, only opens up at the end.
Very popular on summer weekends.
Plenty of refreshments at the finish. No fountains along the route.

A steep but cool climb, you are always in the woods until the finish, where you can rest on a nice meadow. Traffic from cars on Sundays.

Short but intense climb because there are almost no hairpin bends to rest. Traffic at the weekend due to the presence of a picnic park with restaurant at the top. Must do!

Nice climb, especially in summer, being almost all in the woods and very cool. Blind road, nice view on the lakes of Brianza. Fairly busy on weekends.
