A real beast. Don't get fooled by the road sign at the start that says 13% - it's way steeper than that. Veloviewer is much more like it hitting a peak of 700m at around 20% (my gps hit 25-29% in places) not to mention double digits for the rest of the climb. Nothing much to see as the climb is hemmed in between trees and hedgerows - just the tarmac rising steeply in front of you. On the positive side the surface is good throughout with no potholes and no significant loose grit, and the traffic is very light. Once at the top the views really open out and there is a lovely section of road running along the ridge line. Enjoy the view down into the Dee Valley which you've just climbed out of.
