Ouch!
I was sceptical of the 35% warning sign at the bottom, as it didn't seem that bad when I drove it a few days earlier. Having now ridden it, it IS that bad! I'm not a climber, but I enjoy the challenge. This one was a bit too much for me! I even struggled to walk it on a couple of sections. This is hard. Having ridden Hardknott pass a few times, I'd say this may not be as long, but the steep bit is at least as hard as the final hairpins on Hardknott.
Beware, this is a narrow road and the beach seems a popular spot with camper vanners. So you may end up having to stop due to the road being blocked.
