Very steep at the start out of the village for a few kms before it relaxes slightly to a more manageable 8-9%. Road surface is very good till very near the top where there are quite a few cattle grids and here it gets a bit worse. Overall very good surface, hardly any traffic. All the vehicles that I encountered were very understanding and passed carefully. It is a great climb, the top of the climb is unclear as the pass marker for Aecherlipass is not at the highest point, which is strange. Th... read more

It is a great climb, the top of the climb is unclear as the pass marker for Aecherlipass is not at the highest point, which is strange. The east side is very open so you have good views but it will be very hot in the summer. The cooler west side climbs through trees (I descended that way). If you are in the area and are up for some steeeeeeep kms - its fun.

Very beautiful pass with little car traffic. Road surface mostly good (about 200m roadworks, today without tarmac). Great view of the neighbouring Stanserhorn from the summit. Steepest section at the bottom out of Dallenwil.

In Dallenwil there is a very helpful, technically competent bike dealer with a workshop.

Sehr schöner Pass mit wenig Autoverkehr. Straßenbelag weitestgehend gut (etwa 200m Baustelle, heute ohne Asphalt).

Very nice climb with a perfect surface almost to the top of the pass. Straight on up to more than halfway up the pass. Carried out on a Monday morning at the end of March, there were only 3 cars on the route. It offers beautiful scenery. Worth doing.

A faire.
