Steep ascent first past residential houses, then on an even smaller road through forest to the last house. The ascent is fairly even, with the steepest part at the end of the climb. The entrance to the smaller road can easily be overlooked as it looks more like a driveway. Personally, I think the Jordansberg, which has a similar profile, is more difficult.
Steiler Anstieg zunächst an Wohnhäusern vorbei, dann auf einer noch kleineren Straße durch Wald zum letzten Haus. Der Anstieg ist recht gleichmäßig, mit dem steilsten Teil am Ende des Anstieges. Die Einfahrt in die kleinere Straße kann leicht übersehen werden, da sie eher einer Einfahrt ähnelt. Ich persönlich glaube, dass der Jordansberg, der ein ähnliches Profil hat, schwieriger ist.
Climb over a short and dead end tarmac road. After the climb, near a house and garage boxes (so it is easy to turn around), it continues as singletrack (used by locals as an MTB route) so it is really difficult to continue with a road bike. So why do it anyway? Because this one is very steep and you are constantly on the edge. Moreover, it is a beautiful road.
Klim over een kort en doodlopend asfaltweggetje. Na de klim gaat het bij een huis en garageboxen (er is dus goed te keren) verder als singletrack (door de locals gebruikt als MTB-route) dus met een racefiets kan je echt moeilijk verder. Waarom dan toch doen? Omdat deze gewoon snoeisteil is waarbij je continue op de grens zit. Bovendien gewoon een mooi (vooral het tweede deel) weggetje met goed asfalt.
