Beautiful, not too long but tough Ardennes climb from Nidrum to Bütchenbach. You ride through a beautiful area.
Mooie, niet al te lange maar pittige Ardennenklim van Nidrum naar Bütchenbach. Je rijdt door een mooi gebied.
Little to add to Fedor's experience. A beautiful climb to ride up and tough to climb. Despite being on mostly fine tarmac, the climb is also part of some mountain bike routes, including the Stoneman Arduena.
Weinig toe te voegen aan de ervaring van Fedor. Een prachtige klim om op aan te rijden en pittig om te beklimmen. Ondanks dat de klim over grotendeels prima asfalt gaat, is deze ook onderdeel van enkele mountainbike routes, waaronder de Stoneman Arduena.
A very nice climb. The approach route from Nidrum is already beautiful and you can see the climb in front of you. The road winds through the green upwards from the valley of the Warche with continuous high percentages. After passing under the Vennbahn, the road bites hard until it reaches the houses, after which it levels off. Generally speaking, the asphalt is good but there are some lesser stretches.
Bonus tip for lovers of calves: just before the viaduct you can turn right up to the Vennbahn. According to the sign above, this part is 20％ and it feels like it.
Een heel fraaie klim. De aanrijdroute vanuit Nidrum is al mooi en dan zie je ook de klim al mooi voor je liggen. De weg slingert door het groen omhoog vanuit het dal van de Warche waarbij de percentages continue lekker pittig zijn. Na onder de Vennbahn te zijn doorgegaan nog even doorbijten tot bij de huizen waarna het afvlakt. Over het algemeen goed asfalt maar er zijn wat mindere stukken.
Bonustip voor liefhebbers van kuitenbijtertjes: vlak voor het viaduct kan je rechtsaf omhoog naar de Vennbahn. Volgens het bord boven is dit stukje 20％ en zo voelt het wel ook.
