Of the climbs out of Marlow, if Marlow Road is the tough one, and Chalkpit Lane is the nice one, Wycombe Road is the draggy one, holding a pretty consistent gradient all the way up, apart from the odd little steeper or flatter bit. It used to be the main road between High Wycombe and Marlow, so it's like a main road in terms of width, but it's relatively quiet (or moderate in terms of what we might expect in the Chilterns).
It's not unpleasant, but you really need to be in a group to get the best out of this climb, working together initially, and then pushing on a bit once you get higher up. The Handy Cross roundabout (M40 junction 4) is relatively easy to negotiate on a bike, because of the traffic lights, so don't let that put you off trying out Wycombe Road climb.
