A climb that follows a cycle route so following the white-red signs may help as it can be a bit confusing. Ideal crossing if you come from Siedlinghausen and want to get to (the centre of) Winterberg. In the geing yes you go up through a nice little valley nicely but soon you get into the winter sports area and the road starts swinging and going up and down (more than the profile indicates). Like being on a rollercoaster. This is especially true at the ramp because there the road goes down very steeply (I estimate about'n 20%) for a while, followed by the final climb. And that last one turns out to be quite tough with a lot of hard work to get over the main road to the top. After the summit, turn left on the wide road to get to the centre of Winterberg.
It is difficult to give a rating, but the climb is so special that it gets an extra star.
