Spicy and fun climb, starts with gentle rise then turns to get steeper. Can surprise you and that hurts.
Pittige en leuke klim, begint met zachte stijging en draait dan om steiler te worden. Kan je verrassen en dat doet pijn.
Indeed as Robbe says the most beautiful slope in this area and quite tough . The middle part can hurt with its double digits. Nice that the slope is not just a straight road as you often have here. Definitely in the top ten of the Hageland but no top 5 listing.
Inderdaad zoals Robbe zegt de mooiste helling in deze directe buurt en best pittig . Het middenstuk kan pijn doen met zijn dubbele cijfers. Leuk dat de helling niet gewoon een rechte weg is wat je veelal hebt hier. Zeker in de top tien van het Hageland maar geen top 5 notering.

As soon as you turn around behind the church, the road starts to slope through the orchards. Then you could enter the hollow road and the misery starts. It hurts to keep it on the big slab. And at the top you come into the wind. It is steeper than the Grasbos and longer than the Schoonhovendreef (at least the steep part). One of the most difficult in the Hageland. (PS. At the top you can turn left towards Molenbeek to climb the cobblestone Kerkstraat. Less difficult, but beautiful. And cobblestones).
Het is niet de allerbekendste helling in de regio. Die eer zal voor het Grasbos, de Schoonhovendreef, de Chartreuzeberg of de Houwaartseberg zijn weggelegd. Maar wat mij betreft mag, wat zeg ik: moet, de Wijndries in deze lijst. Het is een holle weg, wat typerend is voor de streek. Vanaf je achter de kerk wegdraait, begint het licht te hellen door de boomgaarden. Dan kon je in de holle weg en begint de miserie. Het doet pijn om hem op de grote plaat te houden. En boven kom je in de wind. Ze is steiler dan het Grasbos en langer de de Schoonhovendreef (toch zeker dan het steile stuk). Een van de lastigste van het Hageland. (PS. Je kan op de top naar links draaien richting Molenbeek om daar de bekasseide Kerkstraat te beklimmen. Minder lastig, maar wel mooi. En kasseien!)
