Fairly short and steep climb, with a narrow road. Quite some traffic at weekends since it's close to a popular National Trust walk/hiking area (Abinger Roughs and Netley Park).
If you can handle double digits inclines then you can have some fun. I prefer to ascend rather than descend due to the narrowness and the conditions of the tarmac.
