Often descended. Now once the other way round. At the end of a ride just Stockeu and this one. Then snappy. Taps the 15％ briefly a few times.
Vaak afgedaald. Nu een keer andersom. Aan het eind van een rit nog even Stockeu en deze. Dan pittig. Tikt paar keer kort de 15％ aan.
I didn't really like the slide on the first section out of Stavelot, but the Wanneranval crossing itself is both (very) difficult and magnificent. You'd almost think you were in Switzerland here!
Je n'ai pas trop aimé le toboggan de la première partie à la sortie de Stavelot, par contre la traversée de Wanneranval proprement dit est à la fois (très) difficile et magnifique. On se croirait presque en Suisse dans ce cadre-là!
Favourite Ardennes climb for me so far. Tricky percentages but doable in rhythm. Good road surface. Little traffic. And stunning views of theVal de Wanne.

Very nice climb I personally like this one better than the cote de wanne and the stockeu so that is highly recommended

I came down from Hénumont and was faster on the Wanneranval than I had hoped. It's not terribly steep otherwise and the gradient remains fairly constant so you can get into a rhythm.
Ik kwam afgedaald van Hénumont en stond sneller stil op de Wanneranval dan ik had gehoopt. Het is anders niet verschrikkelijk steil en de hellingsgraad blijft vrij constant dus je kan wel in een ritme komen.
Large parts of the climb above 10％ apart from the first beginning and near Wanne it gets a bit less steep. Beautiful and quiet surroundings. You pass through the hamlet Wanneranval. A beautiful climb. The road surface is not very good, but good for climbing.
Grote delen van de klim boven de 10％ op het eerste begin na en vlak bij Wanne wordt het ook iets minder steil. Mooie omgeving, rustig. Je rijdt door het gehucht Wanneranval. Prachtige klim. Wegdek matig, maar prima om te klimmen.
Beautiful (in the valley) and especially very quiet climb. Nice after the descent of the Stockeu. Also not to be underestimated. No really steep parts but also little to recuperate and already a bit longer.
mooie (in de valei) en vooral zeer rustige beklimming. Leuk na de afdaling vd Stockeu. Ook niet te onderschatten. Geen echt steile stukken maar ook weinig om te recupereren en toch al wat langer ook.
We definitely recommend to ride from Stavelot in the direction of Wanne. First you ride up a steep wall and then you ride up and down through a beautiful area before the official climb starts. Good to divide, you make it as crazy as you want. Don't forget to look around you, I almost felt like I was in a fairytale.
Zeker aan te raden om vanuit Stavelot richting Wanne te rijden. Eerst rijd je dan een steil muurtje op en dan lekker of en af door een schitterende omgeving alvorens de officiële klim start. Goed in te delen, je maakt het zo gek als je zelf wilt. Vergeet niet om je heen kijken, ik waarde me bijna in een sprookje.
This is a nice climb to do after the Stockeu. The surroundings and views are very nice, the tarmac is fine and it is nice and quiet. The climb itself is not very irregular and therefore less tough than some other climbs in the area.
Dit is een leuke beklimming die je goed na de Stockeu kunt doen. De omgeving en uitzichten zijn erg mooi, het asfalt is prima en het is er lekker rustig. De klim zelf is niet heel onregelmatig en daardoor minder pittig dan sommige andere klimmingen in de omgeving.
Heavy climb, if you do this after the (full) Stockeu you have a fantastic duo. Beautiful scenery and ditto road surface.
Zware klim, als je deze doet na de (volledige) Stockeu heb je een fantastisch duo. Mooie omgeving en dito wegdek.
Beautiful and tough climb which is extra beautiful by the good asphalt and beautiful views. If you still have time and energy to look around you. The climb is extra tough right after the Stockeu, but the satisfaction is all the greater when you reach the top. There you can sit quietly on a bench to recover and to enjoy your achievement.
Prachtige en pittige beklimming die extra mooi is door het goede asfalt en de mooie vergezichten. Als je tenminste nog tijd en energie hebt om om je heen te kijken. De beklimming is zo vlak na de Stockeu extra zwaar, maar de voldoening des te groter als je boven bent. Daar kun je even rustig op een bankje zitten om bij te komen en na te genieten van je prestatie.
Did this climb by accident, after the stockeu we suddenly ended up on this climb. Terribly heavy!!!!!
Deze klim per ongeluk gedaan, na de stockeu kwamen we opeens terecht op deze klim. Verschrikkelijk zwaar!!!!!
A tough climb: quite steep but in very nice surroundings with little or no traffic. Perfect to combine with first the Stockeu, then Wanneranval and finally Thier de Coo. 3 top climbs on a few kilometers distance.
Pittige klim: behoorlijk steil maar in een zéér mooie omgeving met weinig of geen verkeer. Perfect te combineren met eerst de Stockeu, vervolgens Wanneranval en als afsluiter Thier de Coo. 3 toppers op een paar kilometers afstand.
In traffic there is a lot and the road surface is bad, those are two things that are not true it is nice and quiet and the asphalt is good.
Bij verkeer staat er veel en bij wegdek slecht,dat zijn wel twee dingen die niet kloppen het is er heerlijk rustig en het asfalt bolt goed
