Definitely more popular with cyclists and pedestrians than cars, which is just as well, because it's quite the narrow road. Nice to go through this one then you're around there: very quiet, secondary country "road". Definitely more popular with cyclists and pedestrians than cars, which is just as well, because it's quite the narrow road. The road surface is not that great and it really gets caked with mud on rainy/post-rainy days, mixed with the leaves that inevitably fall down the surrounding trees.
Take it easy (which it is, anyway), breathe in, enjoy the peace and quiet before getting back to the normal roads!
Not too difficult climb from Groot-Welsden to Margraten over a hollow road. The climb continues into the built-up area of Margraten and the summit is at the junction with Bernhardlaan.
Niet te moeilijke klim vanuit Groot-Welsden naar Margraten over een holle weg. De klim loopt door tot in de bebouwde kom van Margraten en de top ligt op de splitsing met de Bernhardlaan.
Peaceful climb on a nice hollow road. The road leads into Margraten but there are no houses along. Only at the end it appears that you suddenly arrive in the middle of Margraten. Beautiful green route. Not much of a challenge in terms of climbing.
Rustige klim over een leuke holle weg. De weg loopt Margraten in maar er liggen geen huizen langs. Pas op het eind blijkt dat je ineens midden in Margraten "boven komt". Mooie groene route dus. Qua klimmen verder weinig uitdaging.
