This is my favourite road across the Owl Mountains. Almost 10 kilometres of constant climbing is a good test for legs and lungs. The gradient changes quite frequently making the workout interesting. Road quality is decent.
There are multiple shops and even some cafes in Pieszyce, so it's easy to refresh and restock before the ride. The lower part of the road is mostly covered by forest with a clearing appearing later during the climb that provides panoramic views to the north and west. It is hard to choose the best way down - each of the possible descents is very enjoyable. I suggest going north towards Bystrzyckie Lake and later returning through Walim, climbing the Walimska Pass again - this time from the west, via the famous "panhandles".
