Rechttoe rechtaan klim die steiler wordt naarmate je verder gaat zonder echt moeilijk te worden. Er is soms wat uitzicht maar toch niet de meest attractieve klim in vergelijking met wat er in de buurt te vinden is.
Leuke klim vanuit Schin op Geul naar het buurtschap Walem. De klim start op de Graafstraat en gaat via het spoortunneltje geleidelijk omhoog. Vanaf de 2e weg links (ronde cirkel op wegdek) loopt het stijgingspercentage tot aan het einde op zonder echt moeilijk te worden.

Landschappelijk een aantrekkelijke route door een groene omgeving. De weg heeft wisselende percentages met tussen de huizen en tegen het eind een pittiger stukje. Er zitten lichte slingers in de weg die prima asfalt heeft en lekker rustig is. Zo nu en dan mooie uitzichten.
The climb starts easy and gets harder towards the end without getting really difficult. The climb is fairly straightforward, which I don't find very charming. However, there are parts with nice views over the fields.
De klim begint makkelijk en wordt naar het einde toe wat zwaarder zonder dat het ergens echt heel moeilijk wordt. De klim is redelijk rechttoe rechtaan, wat ik weinig charme vind hebben. Wel zijn er stukken met mooi uitzicht over de velden.

I agree with Niels below: ideal if you start in Valkenburg and want to avoid the crowds, but do like a climb with beautiful views.

Nice climb. It has a very nice approach and two places where you can test your legs: In both cores of Walem it's 10%. Ideal when you start your tour in Valkenburg and you like to take a shortcut with beautiful landscape around you instead of following the main road.
Leuk klimmetje. Het heeft een zeer prettige aanloop en twee plekken waar je even je beentjes kunt uittesten: In beide kernen van Walem tikt het zo tegen de 10% aan. Ideaal als je een Valkenburg je rondje begint en graag binnendoor steekt met mooi landschap om je heen in plaats van de doorgaande weg te volgen.
