While the traffic on Asker Straße and Selbecker Straße determines the fun factor, here you have the desired peace and quiet to enjoy the climb and can look forward to good tarmac. The first 1.5 kilometres offer a constant effort. If you choose to stay on the route to Waldbauer at the Hinnenweise junction, it becomes flatter, but you should not underestimate the remaining undulations. In the course of the further ascent, you can sometimes guess how high you have climbed by looking to the right through the treetops. The panorama would certainly be great on a clear day. However, you will be rewarded either way when you leave the forest. The last 2 kilometres lead across the open fields of Waldbauer and offer wide views of the mountain landscape and, of course, the last waves.
Während auf der Asker Straße und der Selbecker Straße der Verkehr über das Gefühl der Strecke entscheidet, hat man hier die erhoffte Ruhe, um den Anstieg zu genießen und darf sich dazu über guten Asphalt freuen. Die ersten 1,5km bieten hohe und gleichbleibende Anstrengung. Wählt man am Abzweig Hinnenweise auf der Strecke nach Waldbauer zu bleiben, wird es zwar flacher, man sollte jedoch die verbleibenden Wellen nicht unterschätzen. Teilweise kann man im Laufe des weiteren Anstiegs in Blickrichtung rechts durch die Baumkronen erahnen wie hoch man geklettert ist. Das Panorama wäre bei klarem Durchblick sicherlich klasse. Belohnt wird man aber so oder so mit Verlassen des Waldes. Die letzten 2 Kilometer führen nämlich über die offenen Felder von Waldbauer und ermöglichen weite Blicke über die Höhenlandschaft, und natürlich auf die letzten Wellen.
