If you turn into the little road in Gemünd you already know what time 't is. Because you immediately face 'n a wall after 'n a few hefty pedal strokes you already look out over 't village and you leave the built-up area, after which 't momentarily gets even steeper than 't was in 't the beginning.
When we cycled up here 't was already getting dark 't so we could see the lights of 't village in 't valley.
After 'n hefty climb on 'n narrow country road you enter t forest, and for the last few hundred metres the road turns into n gravel/sand road with hefty stones, not ideal for the road bike but our final destination was at the top of the mountain.
All in all a memorable and tough climb, but since you basically better turn around before you reach the real summit because otherwise you 'd have to climb a dirt road or descend over 'n other dirt road, I would'm only included in your route if you necessarily want to make altimeters or have hunting lodge Wackerberg as your final destination.
The descent (on 't paved part at least) 'n a few days later was beautiful though, with a nice view over the village.
