Beautiful climb, which indeed didn't steal its name.... I thought the earlier review somewhat detracted from this beautiful climb, especially as an avid cobblestone avoider, so five stars to give it a boost then! Especially since this climb is perfectly combinable with the Paterberg: at the top you continue straight ahead, until you can turn right. In this descent you pass the top of the Paterberg, but at the bottom you can just turn left again, left again into the Keuzelingstraat et voila, it's in front of you :)
Mooie beklimming, die inderdaad zijn naam niet gestolen heeft... Ik vond de eerdere review wat afbreuk doen aan deze mooie klim, zeker als fervente kassei-ontwijker, dus dan maar vijf sterren om hem een duwtje in de rug te geven! Zeker aangezien deze klim perfect combineerbaar is met de Paterberg: boven rijd je verder rechtdoor, tot je rechts kan afslaan. In deze afdaling passeer je de top van de Paterberg, maar beneden kan je gewoon weer naar links, opnieuw links de Keuzelingstraat in et voila, hij ligt voor je neus :)
The Waaienberg - you can blow there, by the way! - is on the other side of the Paterberg and therefore not very well known. And rightly so, because it is not much. At the top there is a small chapel with a bench where you can enjoy the view, which is worthwhile. On the other hand, the Paterberg has this too, so next time we will go up there anyway!
De Waaienberg - waaien kan het er trouwens! - ligt aan de andere kant van de Paterberg en is daardoor niet echt bekend. Terecht ook, want veel stelt het allemaal niet voor. Boven is er wel een klein kapelletje met een bank waar je even kan genieten van het uitzicht dat wél de moeite is. Anderzijds heeft de Paterberg dit ook, dus volgende keer toch maar weer langs daar naar boven!
