One of the most beautiful viewpoints in perhaps the whole of the Netherlands? With the pine forest, the harbour, the sailing yachts at anchor and the sea, Vlieland almost looks like southern Europe from this point. Beautiful, not to be missed.
It is really tough with a rental bike though, especially the children's tandem I was on. But it's definitely not 10-11％. I would never have made it to the top on one of those.
Een van de mooiste uitzichtpunten van misschien heel Nederland? Vlieland ziet er met het naaldbos, de haven, de zeiljachten voor anker en de zee bijna uit als Zuid-Europa vanaf dit punt. Prachtig, mag je niet missen.
Het is wel echt aanpoten met een huurfiets, zeker de kindertandem waar ik op zat. Maar het is zeker geen 10-11％. Dan was ik nooit op zo’n ding boven gekomen.
Nice dead end climb to the lighthouse on the Vuurboetsduin. Of course you may not miss this climb on Vlieland. Road surface of tiles and shell path, which I cycled up on a normal rental bike with gears. Also quite a steep part of 200 meters. Beautiful views from the highest point of Friesland.
Leuke, doodlopende klim naar de vuurtoren op het Vuurboetsduin. Deze klim mag je op Vlieland natuurlijk niet missen. Wegdek van tegels en schelpenpad, die ik op een gewone huurfiets met versnellingen opgefietst ben. Ook best een steil stuk van 200 meter. Prachtige uitzichten boven vanaf het hoogste punt van Friesland.
