Lovely climb. Good road surface, nice views. Don't blow yourself up at the start. You're going to need some more.
Heerlijk klimmetje. Goed wegdek, mooi uitzicht. Blaas jezelf niet in het begin op. Je gaat nog wat nodig hebben.

Very nice climb towards the hamlet of Elkenrade. From the start in the valley, you can already see the steepest part looming. Just briefly go into the red and you're at the top.
Erg leuke klim richting gehucht Elkenrade. Vanaf het begin in het dal zie je het steilste deel al opdoemen. Even kort in het rood gaan en je bent boven.

This climb starts quite relaxed but you can already guess what is to come. Yet it takes longer than expected before it gets really hard. In the hollow road it's a lot of pressure, but soon you see the side road of the Oude Elkenraderweg looming up and after that it quickly becomes a lot lighter. All in all certainly a nice climb with some challenge.

Deze klim begint best relaxed maar je kunt al goed inschatten wat er nog gaat komen. Toch duurt het langer dan verwacht voordat het echt zwaar wordt. In de holle weg is het wel knallen geblazen maar je ziet al snel de zijweg van de Oude Elkenraderweg opdoemen en daarna wordt het al snel een stuk lichter. Al met al zeker een leuke klim met wat uitdaging.
Inderdaad een heerlijke afdaling. Goed wegdek en goed zicht op wat er gaat komen. Je kan de vaart er goed in houden zo.
A kind of easy version of the Eyserbosweg. Again a moderate approach and then at the end a difficult part between the trees. The steep part doesn't last long, so it doesn't really hurt. Therefore a nice climb!
Een soort makkelijke versie van de Eyserbosweg. Ook hier matige aanloop en dan aan het einde een lastig stukje tussen de bomen. Het steile stukje duurt niet zo lang, dus echt pijn doet het niet. Leuke klim daarom!
This is a kind of mini-Eyserbosweg. Slowly the percentages increase. The steepest part is just in the bend in the hollow part of the road, which you cannot see at the beginning. I can understand why many people choose this road for a descent instead of a climb. The road surface is very good (especially compared to the other roads parallel to it), and since it is a sort of ramp you can reach quite high speeds.
Een soort mini-Eyserbosweg is dit. Langzaam lopen de percentages op. Het steilste gedeelte ligt net in de bocht in het holle gedeelte van de weg, waar je geen zicht op hebt aan het begin. Je bent dus geneigd om vanaf het begin al aan te zetten, maar als je dat doet kom je bedrogen uit. Tussen de bomen tikte het even de 15% aan als ik me niet vergiste.
Ik kan overigens wel begrijpen waarom veel mensen juist deze weg pakken als afdaling in plaats van klim. Er ligt een fraai wegdek (vooral vergeleken met de andere wegen die er aan parallel liggen) en aangezien het een soort schans is kun je vrij hoge snelheid behalen.
