Strong climb on a very quiet road of which I feel that in reality the gradients just before, in and after the first bend are much higher than indicated here; peaks up to 20％ are not exaggerated. Fortunately, the tarmac is in excellent condition, although it is beginning to show signs of wear at the top. This gets better in the section, so you can safely let go of the brakes there. If you have enough energy left after this climb, you can try to ascend "Croupet du Bois" but be warned, it is a category worse than this thing!
Stevige klim op een erg rustige weg waarvan naar mijn gevoel de stijgingspercentages net voor, in en na de eerste bocht in realiteit véél hoger uitvallen dan hier aangegeven; pieken tot 20％ zijn niet overdreven. Gelukkig ligt het asfalt er uitstekend bij, al begint het bovenaan wel tekenen van verweer te vertonen. Dat betert in afdeling, dus daar kan je gerust de remmen los laten. Als je na deze klim nog genoeg energie overhebt kan je "Croupet du Bois" nog proberen opstijgeren, maar wees gewaarschuwd, dat is nog een categorie erger dan dit ding!

Een heel smal en rustig weggetje tussen de hagen omhoog stampen. Tof, zeker in die twee stijle bochtjes!
Always wondered where that road leaded to, and today I explored it. Nice climb but certainly not as steep as the Côte de Hansez which is close by. During the climb the road surface is reasonable, but on top it is very bad. There are some tough parts in it but certainly not over hundreds of meters.
Altijd afgevraagd war dat weggetje naar toe liep, en vandaag maar eens verkend. Aardige klim maar zeker iet zo pittig als de Côte de Hansez die er vlakbij ligt. Gedurende de klim is het wegdek redelijk, maar bovenop is het zeer slecht. Er zitten enkele pittige stukjes in maar zeker niet over honderden meters.
I took this climb on a tour of the Voerstreek / Land van Herve. A very spicy surprise. The percentages between 500 meter and the kilometer are much steeper than indicated here. According to my Mio, the gradients are between 15% and 20%. And I can confirm that because my front wheel went up regularly. Delicious climb!
Deze beklimming maar eens genomen bij een rondje Voerstreek / Land van Herve. Een erg pittige verassing. De percentages tussen 500 meter en de kilometer zijn namelijk veel steiler dan hier wordt aangegeven. Volgens mijn Mio fiets je hier tussen de 15% en 20%. En ik kan dat beamen want regelmatig kwam mijn voorwiel omhoog. Heerlijke beklimming!
