Really quite a nice climb to experience. Especially keep calm and plan well because it is anything but a regular climb. Apart from the 'achievement' do it mainly because of the scenery; it is beautiful!
Echt wel een mooie klim om te ervaren. Vooral de rust bewaren en goed indelen omdat het allesbehalve een regelmatige klim is. Los van de 'prestatie' toch vooral doen vanwege de omgeving; die is namelijk prachtig!
Nice climb from the main road between Meerssen and Ulestraten towards Raar. It is a changeable climb though, going up in a few "level's"up. First you descend a bit and then you start going up briskly right away. Then it flattens out for a while before going up a lot steeper again. After that it flattens out again for a short while to finally go up steeper for the third time. The short flatter sections on this climb give you just enough time to recover between two steeper sections. At the end, pay attention when crossing the busy road to the cycle path on the other side of the road....
Leuke klim vanaf de doorgaande weg tussen Meerssen en Ulestraten richting Raar. Het is wel een wisselvallige klim die in een paar "niveau's"omhoog gaat. Je daalt eerste wat en je begint dan gelijk pittig omhoog te gaan. Vervolgens vlakt het even af om hierna weer een stuk steiler omhoog te gaan. Ook daarna weer een kort stukje afvlakking om tot slot voor de 3e keer weer steiler omhoog te gaan. De korte vlakkere tussenstukjes geven je op deze klim net even voldoende tijd om tussen twee steilere delen iets te herstellen. Aan het einde opletten bij het oversteken van de drukke weg naar het fietspad aan de andere zijde van de weg..
