Beautiful and very scenic route, constantly exposed to the south, therefore always sunny. Start in Tavernola. Perfect for spring and autumn. The climb up to Vigolo is gentle and rideable without difficulty, excellent asphalt, a few resident cars in the first section. Continuing on past Vigolo and its hamlets, after a slight descent into the woods, you arrive at the start of the famous Strada Verde, here things change. The road is asphalted almost in its entirety, except for a stretch of dirt road, which is nevertheless well maintained and does not last more than 1 km. The climbs on the Green Road are very steep, among other things, there are two quite long sections at 18-19%. Breathtaking scenery with beautiful views of Lake Iseo. After the turn-off, you continue with a panoramic downhill section until you come to a fork in the municipality of Colli San Fermo, in the middle of a climb. Turn right (going uphill) and you will reach the top of Colli San Fermo, where there are two restaurants. If you want to return to Lake Iseo, I strongly recommend descending via Adrara-Villongo-Sarnico, as the Strada Verde on the way back can be very dangerous, being very steep, narrow and with several wide drainage channels.
Percorso bellissimo e molto scenico, esposto costantemente a sud, quindi sempre soleggiato. Partenza da Tavernola. Perfetto per primavera ed autunno. La salita fino a Vigolo è dolce e pedalabile senza difficoltà, ottimo asfalto, alcune macchine di residenti nel primo tratto. Proseguendo oltre Vigolo e le sue frazioni, dopo una leggera discesa nel bosco, si arriva all’inizio della famosa Strada Verde, qui le cose cambiano. La strada è asfaltata nella sua quasi totalità, eccezion fatta per un tratto di sterrato, che comunque è ben curato, che non dura più di 1 km. Le salite nella Strada Verde sono molto ripide, tra le varie, ci sono due tratti abbastnza lunghi al 18-19%. Paesaggi mozzafiato con vista sul lago d’Iseo bellissima. Una svolta scollinato, si prosegue con un panoramic tratto in discesa, fino ad arrivare ad un bivio nel comune di Colli San Fermo, nel bel mezzo di una salite. Girando a destra (salendo) si arriva fino alla cima di Colli San Fermo, dove si trovano due ristoranti. Nel caso si voglia tornare sul lago d’Iseo, consiglio vivamete discesa passando da Adrara-Villongo-Sarnico, la Strada Verde al ritorno puó essere molto pericolosa, essendo molto ripida, stretta e con plurimi larghi canali di scolo.

So, if you want to do it all the way up to the Colli di San Fermo (San Fermo hills), be prepared to face 20km of climbing where it will feel like you have done an Alpine Pass to all intents and purposes.
Volendo potete fermarvi al bellissimo borgo di Vigolo adagiato sopra il Lago d’Iseo, sarebbe tuttavia un peccato non farla tutta ed arrivare ai Colli di San Fermo passando per la Strada Verde (detta anche dai locals “La Bratta”). Da Tavernola a Vigolo la salita è uno spettacolo, sempre esposta al sole e con la costante visita del Sebino sulla sinistra, ideale nelle belle giornate autunnali quando le temperature sono più basse ma l’esposizione al sole regala quel mite tepore che te la fa’ godere al meglio. Dopo Vigolo, quando attacca la Strada Verde, la storia cambia radicalmente e la salita diventa totalmente irregolare con decisi strappi che arrivano anche al 20％ (purtroppo non è tracciata qui su Climbfinder). Il panorama anche qui è altrettanto spettacolare ma bisogna stare concentrati di più per affrontare le pendenze. Quindi, se volete farla tutta fino ai Colli di San Fermo (panchinone), preparatevi ad affrontare 20km di salita dove sembrerà di aver fatto a tutti gli effetti un Passo Alpino.
Very nice climb, you leave the traffic behind and it’s just you and nature after a while (and a couple of motorcycles) road surface is nice in most places. The gas station on the top is closed permanently, so if you need to refill you will have to do it in the restaurants. But beware of closings so bring a lot of energy with you.

Salita spettacolare con un panorama sempre meraviglioso. Si sale con una pendenza sempre costante su una strada ampia e poco affollata. Arrivati a Vigolo é consigliabile proseguire verso i colli San Fermo passando dalla durissima strada verde con pendenze fino al 18％ ma come dice la parola stessa… immersi nel verde
