This is indeed a nice climb. The start is a bit steeper, but soon it is even and not steep. The road surface has some holes and cracks at the beginning (only on the sides). A little higher up, it is back to normal and there is new asphalt. The descent is very steep in some parts. Make sure your brakes are in good order!... read more

Beautiful climb I did on a Sunday in July. This is the easiest route to Punta Veleno. It starts out from Garda immediately punchy. Then easy section on a quiet road with nice views. After 6 km or so you get on a bigger road and it gets busier with villages and cars's along the road. Another steep stretch comes along. The devil is in the last 1.5 km, which according to my Garmin was 12% average! That starts super wide but is soon just a road barely 2m wide. Unfortunately, motorists find that exciting to descend and you are forced to stop. Once at the top, you see a descent warning, also the super steep route from Brenzone, a nice view up Monte Baldo and a lot of cars's.
