The first part is more false flat, and has no views. After 4 km the climb opens towards the valley and the Rhine Gorge, and the road turns into a beautiful, narrow mountain road while descending towards the next part. Although the climb seems long, it is only really climbing at the hairpins, the rest is more false flat. That should not spoil the fun though, the road (with good tarmac) starts in the woods, then goes through rock formations and ends with alpine meadows. With beautiful views of the meandering Rheinschlucht in between, too.

Hoewel de klim lang lijkt, is het alleen bij de haarspelden echt klimmen, de rest is meer vals plat. Dat mag de pret echter niet drukken, de weg (met goed asfalt) begint in de bossen, gaat dan door rotsformaties en eindigt met alpenweides. Met tussendoor ook prachtige uitzichten over de slingerende Rheinschlucht.

Very difficult until the second part, it's not all that difficult. It feels more like a through road than a real climb. Very nice connection between the Albula and the Oberalp

Erg goede weg vanuit Bonaduz die je door een mooie kloof voert. Verderop klim je nogmaals. De weg varieert van smal naar breed en weer terug.

Erg moeilijk is het tot het tweede gedeelte allemaal niet. Het voelt meer als een doorgaande weg dan een echte klim. Zeer mooie verbinding tussen de Albula en de Oberalp
