Hele mooie klim om te rijden. Lastig maar prima te doen. Erg afwisselend qua wegdek en uitzichten. Je begint in het dorp Dervio en hebt tijdens de eerste kilometers een mooi zicht op het Comomeer en het dorp. Gaandeweg wordt het wegdek soms wat slechter en de weg smaller. Je rijdt door het bos en passeert meerdere stroompjes en kleine watervalletjes. Laatste kilometer erg mooi kronkelend en weer nieuw asfalt.

It is a nice climb. I incorporated it into a longer flat ride around the lake. Then went form Derivo, up the climb, along the valley and back down to Bellano before getting the boat back from Varenna to my hotel. It is long but never too steep. Most of the road is ok with a few rough patches. Very little traffic. You go through a few small villages but I did not see anywhere to buy food. There was a water fountain at the base of the climb in Derivo.
