As you ride along the valley bottom you know that you will eventually have to choose one of the various climbs to get out. This ride up from Little Bredy is a beautiful one along quiet roads. As you approach the bottom of the climb itself the road condition is poor, but once on the climb itself it is fine. The road is narrow and steep but I have yet to meet any traffic on it until you join the main road at the top. You can actually continue climbing right up to the top of Black Down and Hardy’s Monument for stunning views.
