One of the longest and most pleasant climbs in the area, it is broken up by two small descents, we pass through the village of Laconi, which is definitely worth a visit, especially for its park with the castle inside (ruined) but also for its characteristic historic centre, after the village we reach another beautiful park, Funtanamela;another beautiful park, that of Funtanamela, and here the road flattens out quite a bit with an "ascent-descent" having arrived at the junction for Meana Sardo, the road begins to climb again gradually until reaching the pass; the road is in good condition and generally not very busy.
Una delle salite più lunghe e piacevoli della zona, risulta spezzata da due piccole discese, si attraversa il paese di Laconi che merita sicuramente una visita, soprattutto per il suo parco con all'interno il castello (diroccato) ma anche per il centro storico caratteristico, dopo il paese si raggiunge un'altro bel parco, quello di Funtanamela e qui la strada spiana parecchio con un "sali-scendi", arrivati allo svincolo per Meana Sardo, la strada riprende a salire in modo graduale sino al valico; la strada è in buone condizioni e generalmente poco trafficata.
