An ascent that makes for a nice loop in Val Serina. Very worn asphalt but total absence of vehicular traffic. The tiny hamlet of Salmezza, nestling in a lonely and quiet meadow basin, is worth a stop.
Salita che permette di percorrere un bel giro ad anello in Val Serina. Asfalto molto rovinato ma totale assenza di traffico veicolare. Merita una sosta il minuscolo borgo di Salmezza adagiato in una conca prativa solitaria e silenziosa.
A beautiful climb in a quiet environment with almost no traffic. Absence of drinking fountains. Road surface in places very shabby. The opposite slope (from Selvino) has thrilling gradients!
Una bella salita in un ambiente tranquillo e con traffico quasi inesistente. Assenza di fontanelle. Manto stradale in alcuni punti molto malandato. Il versante opposto (da Selvino) ha pendenze da brivido!
I did this climb today (20/08/2022), I arrived via Zogno-Miragolo.
beautiful scenery ... there are no drinking fountains on the route, unless you know the precise places marked, so facing this route with a supply of water is essential....the asphalt for long stretches has been redone but after the intersection with the deviation that marks the Santuario del Perello, in practice the last km, you would need a mtb so much is ruined the road surface.....
however it is worth it, it is challenging for someone like me who is 64 years old and pedals with one leg....

paesaggio bellissimo… non si trovano fontanelle sul percorso, a meno che non si conosce luoghi precisi on segnalati, quindi affrontare questo percorso con scorta di acqua è indispensabile….l’asfalto per lunghi tratti è stato rifatto ma dopo l’incrocio con la deviazione che segnala il Santuario del Perello, in pratica l’ultimo km, ci vorrebbe un mtb tanto è rovinato il manto stradale…..
comunque vale la pena , è impegnativa per chi come me ha 64 anni e pedala con una gamba….
