It is a nice climb, very flat through different landscapes. Rocky at the bottom, then getting wider with a beautiful reservoir, a wonderful medieval village called Scanno and the treeless region towards the top of the pass. For me, the whole thing is more a nice excursion than a pass to be travelled. Nevertheless, it is scenically recommendable and if you have the option, it is best to do it during the week, then you save yourself the excursion traffic and, even better, most of the motorcyclists.
