Difficult to rate, as the climb runs nicely through a forest and there are some very nice views over the region. However, the middle section is not really suitable for a Rennard, as I already had real problems with my gravel bike, as the gravel is unevenly distributed and there can be very high joints (unfortunately no photo taken).

A pleasant dissonant in the set of often beautiful climbs of the country of Hervé, which usually run over relatively open plains, along forest edges or via hollow roads. Not because it is not beautiful, but because it is out of place.
This one goes over an unpaved path in the middle of a forest. You climb with a diversion from SW corner to the Vaalserberg. At the end of the climb, turn left to the Dreilandspunt. The gravel path is good to ride when it is dry and with tyre widths of 28'or wider.
You are away from all the hustle and bustle, only the rustle of the trees. Occasional beautiful views over lower lying land. Not very hard, although the gravel makes the climbing harder. A wonderful climb.

A nice climb but I doubt if really thin tires would do well here. Most of the climb is gravel. Mostly in good condition (there is a nice track to be found) but here and there it was a bit rough and bumpy, sometimes to the point that I was skidding on wide tracks with reasonable tread. The gravel also made climbing a lot harder.

Nevertheless a nice climb. A straight road from under the viaduct into the beautiful forest. Crosses and benches regularly along the route and in the higher part some nice views. The last part is again good tarmac, which at a junction (the end of the climb) turns left, slightly descending towards the border triangle. This part is also very nice. Along the way I get compliments from the hikers that an unaccompanied cyclist is pedalling up here.

After the steep part through the forest follows a beautiful view. At the top you can turn left and descend to the three countries point and from there you can descend to NL, BE or DE.
