A popular climb - the mountain version of the route from Motril to Vélez de Benaudalla. A great warm-up before the next hills inland. It's a nice feeling when around each bend you see a wider and wider panorama of the town and the sea below.
At the very top, a surprise - a historic tunnel.
The only drawback is the occasional heavy traffic of cars and motorbikes, but the drivers are very attentive and unconflicted.
