Tronfjell is not only Norway's second highest road, it is also one of the hardest hills you can cycle. Like so many of the great climbs, it goes through three stages - an initial, very steep and relentless part, a gentler section when the mountain's saddle/ridge is reached, and a final, brutal summit climb. The reward at the top is great.
