Not too difficult a climb, with plenty of views over the Rhone Valley. As with many Valais roads, there is traffic to be aware of... be careful!

Torgon will be the finishing village for the 2023 Tour de Romandie for women. The climb is accessed from the Rhone valley where there is a fairly good cycle track on both sides of the Rhone. On the right side of the Rhône you can see the UCI World Cycling Centre as you head towards Vionnaz on the left side. In Vionnaz, the road to Torgon is clearly visible. We pass behind the church of Vionnaz where we already have a beautiful view of the Rhone valley. The ascent is made by many twists and turns. We cover about 11 km between Vionnaz and Torgon. There is no really steep slope, the climb is smooth at 7-8%. The condition of the wide road is excellent and on the day I did this climb (a bank holiday) the traffic was very quiet (about 20 cars I estimate). The view of the Rhone valley and the mountains on the opposite side (Les Diablerets, Gd Muveran etc) is extraordinary. Make a small diversions for the arrival stele in Torgon (1140 m).
