On the positive side, there is an even ascent, good tarmac and a very wide hard shoulder so that you don't have to drive with the main traffic. Bergab würde ich die Strecke aufgrund der Schwellen definitiv meiden, gibt ja auch gute Alternativen (Schmalenhoferstraße, Bleiberg etc.)
