This enormously long pass is another magnificent piece of Morocco that simply cannot be missed. Fully asphalted, this climb is even doable on 23/25mm tyres. Immediately on leaving Tinghir there is a short but steep uphill section. After that, the climb is mainly a slope that works its way up under merciful percentages for a very long time.

However, that does not make the climb any less interesting. What follows is a succession of beautiful scenery, the sound of howling wolves and, of course, the wonderful Gorge du Todgha. Despite the moderate percentages, the climb should not be underestimated. The length is enormous and on the open plains in the final part of the climb, where it does get steep, it can be enormously windy. Full 5 stars here too.
