A nice, steady climb up to Veserde. You immediately realise what you've let yourself in for on the first few metres, but you can find your rhythm relatively quickly, which you can basically ride all the way to the top. It also helps that the route is wooded throughout after the first kilometre. Nevertheless, you can always judge how far you still have to go, as the view to the left is largely open (which wasn't always the case). Once you reach the top, you cross open meadows and enjoy an impressive view back down into the valley.

Nice climb on a very good road surface. The start from Hohenlimburg is slightly undulating through a residential area, but after half a km it turns into a good running climb. The climb ends in Veserde. Just before the village you turn right into the Todtenhelle, then you end up on the Telegraph.
