This climb is on tarmac but that stops at the end of the climb. The road then becomes a cart track which is good to ride in dry conditions and after a few hundred meters ends up on a concrete road. Here you can turn left and descend to Sluizen. This climb is on tarmac but that stops at the end of the climb. The road then becomes a cart track which is good to ride in dry conditions and after a few hundred meters ends up on a concrete road. Here you can turn left and descend to Sluizen.
If you don't want to do that, you will have to turn around at the end and descend via the same road again, but don't let that stop you from tackling this one because it is a very nice climb. The percentage is steep during a large part of the climb and in the second half you pass a horse paddock and you have nice views of the valley next to you (even if you descend you have nice views). Unexpectedly good asphalt for such'n a road.
