I was not too fond of this one. It looks very impressive on a map, but I found it dull to ride and with rather bleak surroundings. It is a really wide pass without a great sense of being a pass, if you know what I mean. Some June evening traffic. A wide, well surfaced road in 2003, and never steep on this variant. There is a much nicer climb over this hill range - and harder - just to the west of here, though less famous and less distinctive than the Vee perhaps.
