It's pleasing to see such an obscure and out of the way climb like this listed here. Also known as Vagar Hill I rode up it a few years ago. A steep and narrow lane lined with trees gives way to a flatter bit through open fields. Go straight across the quiet minor crossroad on the dead end access road to the radio mast where steep again. You will have to open a five bar gate, but worth it if you like this kind of thing! There are loads of climbs here in the Golden Valley: this one is the highest.
