I'd heard of Mill Hill, but I never knew exactly where it was, and I found it by accident when looking for a different route out of London to what I usually do. My next visit was more planned, when putting together a lumpy route out of London. I came via Hampstead Heath and the next climb would be to Bushey Heath, a highly underrated hillock. Anyway, Mill Hill, or Bittacy Hill to be precise - the difficulty rating tells me it's not that much of a climb, but it does get steep in the middle, almost reaching double digits. I was first there at school run time, and it was rather busy with traffic, the railway station and supermarket didn't help with that either. Next time was quieter, and I was more able to appreciate the climb and the villagey feeling of Mill Hill itself, at the top. I'm still working on London escape routes to the north, but I'd include this climb of Mill Hill in future routes.
