If there is a classic climb to Brill, this is it. The other ways up are just a bit too gnarly to be considered as classic (apart from route via Muswell Hill, possibly), but equally don't quite qualify as "wall" climbs. Like all climbs, it's as hard as you want to make it, and you can get up quite easily if you want to. If there is a classic climb to Brill, this is it. The other ways up are just a bit too gnarly to be considered as classic (apart from route via Muswell Hill, possibly), but equally don't quite qualify as "wall" climbs. Like all climbs, it's as hard as you want to make it, and you can get up quite easily if you want to. On the other hand, when taken in as part of a fast group ride this climb can get quite exciting, especially with the short but slightly steeper ramps you encounter on the way up. A big ring climb for a lot of people, but that doesn't detract from its quality.

The longest and easiest route to Brill. A few short sections take the road up above 5%, but mostly it stays below. The views right towards Ashendon and behind toward the Chilterns are perhaps the best scenery for any face of Brill.
