As the other review says: a runner on a poorly rolling cycle path. You can look for the mini-lane of tarmac between cycle path and road on certain stretches, but it is at your own risk and difficult when there may be oncoming traffic.

The ascent of Terrest South is not very special in itself, after you have travelled about 300m from the marketplace, the cycle path changes to the right side of the road, on the concrete slabs. It's not very pleasant to cycle here because the bike path is rather narrow and especially because there are also cyclists coming from the opposite direction, on the other side there are parked cars. Fortunately, there are few people cycling from the other direction but you can always encounter one so it is difficult to "give full throttle". The percentages are luckily not too bad, about 2 to 3 percent uphill. When I cycle up it, I always have the feeling I'm already at the top, but then you still have to go uphill and there seems to be no end to it. You can do it if you happen to cycle there, but you'd better do one of the other hills in Houthulst.
