A pleasant climb, short but very steep. It's a little-used road with good quality tarmac, which then takes you back to Johannas to continue on to the Baume or Drobie valleys, avoiding a passage on the departmental road, which is much busier.

A nice spicy climb with 2 castles, one in the first km and one at the top. The climb itself is tougher than you would suspect on climbfinder. The start of the climb is hard to find . But in Largentiere centre you drive over a narrow bridge where it says D305. Over the small bridge turn right and then after 120m follow the road on the left. You then drive through a narrow one-way street but with the bike this is apparently allowed. Then turn right behind the church, after 120 metres you will come across the first castle on your right. This road goes up very steeply by well over 10%. Then straight on and spicy though and not a metre of shade and it was hot today. The road winds up to the top of the Col de Tauriers and it's another 250 metres uphill to the castle. Nice if you're in the neighbourhood. Also because of its 2 still intact castles.
