A winter sports no man's land does not sound very attractive in summer, but it is such a strange deserted landscape with quite nice views that it is definitely worth cycling on to the Tannalp after the first climb. There is not much climbing left, except just before the reservoir. The road surface is not great; best here is to just look around and cycle out slowly. You'll also find a drinking fountain here.
