Quiet approach via a quiet street with poor to very poor road surface. After a short S-turn, you turn briefly right, where a short wall appears in front of you. The grid across the road slows you down, and the bricks on the steep section don't do your speed any favours either. Where the road flattens out a bit before the spur, the clinker track turns into an asphalt strip of questionable quality, but it is certainly doable on a road bike.
The approach past St George's Church is much better and cosier Also better quality of road surface.
Rustige aanloop via een rustige straat met slecht tot zeer slecht wegdek. Na een korte S-beweging draai je kort rechtsaf, waar een korte muur voor je opduikt. Het rooster dwars over de weg remt je af, en de klinkers op het steile stuk doen je snelheid ook geen goed. Daar waar de weg wat afvlakt voor de uitloper gaat de klinkerbaan over in een asfaltstrook van bedenkelijke kwaliteit, doch deze is zeker te doen met een racefiets.
De aanloop langs de Sint-Joriskerk is veel beter en gezelliger... Ook betere kwaliteit van wegdek.
Climb starts after the left exit of the right, to the railway crossing, turning main road in the centre of Sint Joris Weert.
Run past the garden centre uphill followed, after a sharp left turn, by a short descent on bad tarmac.
You then turn right almost from standstill over the transverse sewer grates onto the short very steep clinker part of the Speelbergstraat followed by false flat spur on asphalt to highest point.
Only climbing cars are allowed on the first section.
Consider it a short game of pushing the pedals, as the street name suggests!
Klim start na linkse afslag van de rechts, naar de spoorwegovergang, draaiende hoofdweg in het centrum van Sint Joris Weert.
Aanloop langs tuincentrum bergop gevolgd door, na scherpe linkse bocht, even bergaf op slecht asfalt.
Je draait dan nagenoeg vanuit stilstand rechts over de dwarse rioolroosters het korte zeer steile klinker gedeelte van de Speelbergstraat op gevolgd door vals plat uitloper op asfalt tot hoogste punt.
Eerste deel is alleen klimmend autoverkeer toegelaten.
Beschouw het als een kort "spelletje" stevig op de pedalen duwen,zoals de straatnaam suggereert!
If you are in the area, you can take this climb, but it is not really worth the diversions. only a very short steep section with not very good tarmac.
als je in de buurt bent kan je deze beklimming meenemen maar een omweg is het niet echt waard. slechts een heel kort steil stukje met niet al te beste asfalt.
