This slope is called "Bed of Napoleon" on Strava, after the bistro located at the top of it.
It can already be a bit busier here as it is a main road in the district. I found it a very good road surface. True, you encounter a threshold twice, but with the bike it's not too bad.
You can see the top from the foot, so you can divide the climb perfectly. Certainly not a steep climb, so you can do it with a large gear.
A little further after the summit, you have a fantastic view of the surrounding area on the left.
This slope shares the summit with the Meidries, the toughest slope in the Hageland according to Climbfinder.
Deze helling heet op Strava "Bed van Napoleon", naar de bistro die er op de top gelegen is.
Het kan hier al wat drukker zijn omdat het een hoofdweg is in de wijk. Ik vond het een heel goed wegdek. Het klopt dat je tweemaal een drempel tegenkomt, maar met de fiets valt die heel goed mee.
Je ziet de top vanaf de voet liggen, dus je kan perfect de klim indelen. Zeker geen steile klim, waardoor je hem met een groot verzet kan doen.
Wat verder na de top heb je aan de linkerzijde een fantastisch uitzicht op de omgeving.
Deze helling deelt de top met de Meidries, volgens Climbfinder de zwaarste helling van het Hageland.
Short slope in a beautiful wooded area. Too bad about the 'steep'thresholds that break your cadence. The slope is easy to combine with other hills in the area. From Holsbeek you can for example do it after the Chartreuzeberg.
Korte helling in een mooie bosrijke omgeving. Wel jammer van de 'steile' drempels die je cadans doen breken. De helling is makkelijk te combineren met andere hellingen in de omgeving. Vanuit Holsbeek kan je deze bijvoorbeeld na de Chartreuzeberg doen.
One of the lighter but still nice climbs of Linden compared to the Kasteeldreef or the Steenveldstraat. Thresholds in bad shape make it more difficult.
Een van de wat lichtere maar nog steeds leuke klimmen van Linden vergeleken met de Kasteeldreef of de Steenveldstraat. Drempels in slechtere staat maken het wel wat lastiger.
Short but nice climb in a beautiful area with many climbs in the neighbourhood. In a radius of 3 km you have more than 10 climbs including the Kriekenbergweg and Kesselberg which are among the steepest in the Hageland.
In short, a real cycling environment in wooded surroundings.
Kort maar leuk klimmetje in een mooie omgeving met heel wat beklimmingen in de buurt . In een straal van 3 km heb je meer dan 10 beklimmingen waarvan de Kriekenbergweg en Kesselberg die tot de steilste van het Hageland behoren .
Kortom een echte fietsomgeving in bosrijke omgeving.
