The road is quiet, with little traffic. The scenery is magnificent, with mountains, trees and views of the lake. And the view from the summit is majestic. The gradient is"steep" but steady for most of the way up. The last two kilometres are very steep, especially the last one. A magnificent climb.

A beautiful road with one of the best views on the lake! There is little traffic and the road surface is excellent. The road is consistantly steep for the first 7.5km after which you enter the small town of Sonchaux where the road pitches up to a nasty 14％. The views over the lake make up for it though.
