Magnificent 4.5 km climb. Gradients regularly between 10 and 12%. This route is sustained but less difficult than via Wolfersbach to the north.
The route is excellent and calm, quite winding but not dangerous. The route often takes place in woodland but with very fine views over Lauterbach.

A climb to match its profile, a real challenge with two long, very hard sections, after which even 8% will look flat.
Lovely views over the valley and surrounding farms.
Excellent road condition all the way and few cars.
Descent via Heidenbachstrasse recommended for its very long straight stretch.
